In US

I am trying to buy my first crypto. I set up a Ripple desktop wallet (rippex?), and then went to Changelly to try to send myself some xrp using a bank card. I got an error message saying the Indacoin doesn't work in the US.

What now?

Indacoin doesn't allow access to US citizens. You could try to download the Opera browser, enable the VPN, select a European country and try that way, but my guess is that if the funds are coming from a US bank it may still give you the same error. Your best bet would be to first buy Bitcoin, transfer that to an exchange that supports Ripple (Poloniex, Kraken, Bittrex, etc.) buy it there, then send it from there to your Rippex wallet.

  • First buy Bitcoin (with wire transfer or with credit card).
  • Then exchange this BTC for some altcoins (Ripple) via prefered exchange.
If you have no experience with cryptocurrency exchanges, check this out http://www.coinparator.com/compare-exchanges/

I personaly don't know about any exchange, that would allow to buy Ripple directly with FIAT money. All exchanges I know are trading Ripple for Bitcoin.
