If you really want to invest in altcoins, you need to choose something from the already popular and more less stable ones, for example: EOS, Ripple, Zcash.

I agree on Ripple, can try Ethereum as well.
We could consider adding BNB as well since the exchange business is very profitable in this ecosystem and Binance is a leader in this business. All these will reflect in the price of BNB like quarterly burn etc

Low caps coins are the best for Huge returns in short-time. Check out Ryocurrency(RYO)
It's very high risk there is no need to take such risk since the returns from the major currency itself is very high, so there is no reason for taking such a huge risk by investing in low cap coins. This will be like gambling by doing so

Take a look at low-cap RYO which has strong technical and as well as it has solid fundamentals. If you looking for massive profits then buy some on TradeOgre or on Crex24.

Which altcoin is best for investment?
[/QUOTE

Ryocurrency(RYO) is the hottest altcoin to invest right now, why? Because of its strong fundamentals (Solid feature/updates for 2020) that can boost the price of the coin. It is really important to find a project that has strong fundamentals and developing fast and RYO is the coin that is backed by the well-known dev team of XMR-STAK ad and other mining software. So, I'm pretty confident that this coin can pump 50x-100x anytime. Take a look into it, maybe this is the altcoin you are looking for.

ethereum is always a right choice

Yes, it is. But do you think about low-cap coins such as Ryocurrency which is pretty undervalued and showing up solid development? I think for big profits low-caps are the best because they can pump 100X anytime while this type of gains is hard on big-cap altcoins. Form a long-term investing perspective coin like RYO are the best.
