Hey guys,

I've read that Coinbase and Binance seem to be good exchanges.

What are your thoughts on the exchanges you use and what kind of desktop client wallet apps do you use?

TIA

It depends on what coins you want to purchase and store, since every coin is not available on every exchange. But the major coins are easy to get on all the big exchanges.

Coinbase, Coinbase Pro, and Binance are all good centralized exchanges. For decentralized exchanges, I recommend UniSwap and SushiSwap.

The best desktop wallet that has all the major coins is Exodus. It works great on your desktop and syncs with your mobile phone or tablet.

Pay attention to safety. I do not download any executable application to my computer or mobile phone, I use Prokey Optimum, a web-based hardware wallet that works with google chrome browser and it's also opensource.

It's safe to download a wallet to your computer or phone. Make sure it's from a reputable source and be sure to safeguard and protect your recovery keys, and you will be fine.

There are pros and cons to all wallets. Do what you feel most comfortable with.
